Custom-Design of Programs In close consultation with clients, GED determines the specifications and objectives that need to be addressed to create a new study abroad program. Typically, clients specify the program theme, the desired duration of the program, the size of the participating group and their educational, budgetary and other objectives for the program. Once GED has obtained this information, we develop the educational content of courses and select study sites which best meet the client's educational objectives within the stated budgetary framework. Before further preparations are made, we submit course outlines and itinerary plans for review and approval by the client. GED is aware that study abroad programs are more than a formal academic experience in a foreign country; study abroad programs also offer participants opportunities to learn informally through meeting and interacting with local people and experiencing new perspectives. Throughout the custom-design process, GED aims to maximise such opportunities by including a range of cultural and other recreational activities as part of the overall program. |
