Planning and Organisation of Programs
Once a client is satisfied with the design of their program, GED then plans and organises the academic,
administrative and logistic support needed to successfully deliver the program. For each program, this includes:
- Preparation of a detailed day-by-day schedule of educational and recreational activities;
- Recruitment and hire of all teaching staff from local universities, government departments, private industry etc. as appropriate;
- Arrangement of accommodation for the duration of the program, including homestays if requested;
- Transport arrangements (excluding international flights);
- Provision of all meals throughout the program, taking account of participants' special dietary needs;
- Organisation of all teaching venues, including field research stations as required;
- Supply of field study equipment and camping gear to facilitate field camps in remote locations;
- Planning and arrangement of communications, medical and emergency services in remote locations;
- Arrangement of permits required for any special activities planned as part of the program; and
- On-going liaison with the client institution and support for clients' program leaders.
Over many years of operations, GED has developed an extensive network of high-quality teaching staff
in a wide range of academic disciplines and has built up a pool of reliable accommodation and transport service providers.
We are constantly adding to our database of support services, so that we are able to offer clients a great degree of
flexibility in the design and planning of a new program.
